Located in the heart of the Alps, the canton has been closely linked to transit traffic and the connection between north and south for centuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transit as fate and opportunity<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Gotthard Pass shapes Uri more than any other region.
